GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT MDF MOULDING:
MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is made from wood fibers glued under heat and pressure. It is a type of hardboard. MDF is an engineered wood product that is produced in sheets and then milled like hardwood. It case mouldings are manufactured from the finest medium density fiberboard available so case moldings has a unique coating that accepts any type of construction grade paint.
Another option is solid medium-density-fiberboard  doors and moldings. Why should we use mdff for dooor casiing moulding? There are a some reasons why Medium Density Fibreboard  is used for moulding. It is dense, flat, stiff, has no knots and is easily machined. Because  molding is made up of fine particles it does not have an easily recognizable surface grain.
Medium Density Fibreboard moulding can be painted to produce a smooth quality surface. Because MDfFmoulding has no grain it can be cut, drilled, machined and filed without damaging the surface.Medium Density Fibreboard moulding may be glued together with PVA wood glue. Oil, water-based paints and varnishes may be used on MDfFmolding. Veneers and laminates may also be used to finish Medium Density Fibreboard moulding.
Case Molding is the molding that is used to trim a doorway, windows or archway. It's design and weight must be balanced with the architecture and other moldings.
Case Moldings define the overall character of a room and are often the most visible part of the trim. Casing mouldings are used primarily to cover the gap between drywall and the dooor or window frame. Casings are generally smaller and thicker than the base moldings.
Case Molding can be used to trim completely around each side of the doorway or they can be used in conjunction with other architectural elements such as; headers, rosettes, and plinth blocks. Our case molding comes in Medium Density Fibreboard, Ultralite , Finger joint wood and Polyurethane. All our case molding comes primed. We can also supply case molding in other material , which you may desire.

DOOR:
Doors do more than open and close. There are part of a home's décor, a buffer between one space and the next. It stands to reason, then, that dooor purchases should weigh heavily in the home construction budget.

DoorForm and Function
A dooor, whether it is solid, glass, louvered, or half glass, should complement the surrounding décor, and ornament the wall on which it lives. At the very least, the style of the dooor should complement existing accents like moldings and trim. A raised panel wood dooor finished in a natural stain is a bold accent when fitted into painted trim. Homeowners typically choose stained wood doors to complement stained trim, painted dooors to accent painted trim. Mixing these styles brings great attention to both, and places great focus on the dooor, its styling, and finish.


DoorTypes
The great housing boom after World War II brought with it the advent of hollow-core dooors. Hollow-coreDooors are made from two thin veneer plywood or hardboard faces. Between the two are supports, often made of cardboard, to help keep the dooor rigid. TheseDoors are light, inexpensive, prone to puncture, and ineffective as sound barriers. Still, they provide a flush face for paint or stain, are easily installed or replaced, and fit into the most modest of budgets. As these houses were purchased and renovated, it became evident to builders and homeowners that an affordable alternative to hollow-coreDoors was needed. Finding an affordable, well constructed, and beautiful solid core dooor became an industry-wide quest as the renovation market took off in the late 1970s and 1980s.

At first, doorMakers attempted solid woodDoors made of young oak and pine in an effort to supply high market demand for a moderately priced solid-coreDoor. "They'd dry, cup, and crack,". Solid woodDoors must be kiln and air dried to prevent warping or cracking. Joints must be manufactured to withstand stress. They are not budget sensitive.

Engineered Wood Doors
So the industry came up with engineered wood cores, faced with high-quality wood veneers. Some manufacturers carry solid core dooors made from high-density fiberboard or hardboard. A top-quality engineered-coreDoor may be constructed with hardwood sticking—the pieces that go between the panels, to the sides, and below—called the stiles and the rails. Some manufacturers edge their panels in hardwood where they meet the sticking. A top-quality solid-core dooor will also have hardwood support where screw holes are located for good adhesion without stripping. These dooors, like solid woodDoors, come in raised panel and flat-panel styles. They can be stained or painted, but typically have veneered faces that are suitable for staining.

Another option is solid medium-density-fiberboard  dooors and moldings. MDfF is an engineered wood product that is produced in sheets and then milled like hardwood. It is extremely dense, with a tight, flat surface. It is suitable only for paint, but gives a flatter painted surface than wood. Its sound insulation is superior, andMDfF can be milled to any profile. "MDfF is a very versatile product," says Daniels. It is an easy-to-finish, affordable alternative to solid wood dooors. Dooor  casing molding is the beauty of a dooor.

Wood mouldings are made from the finest wood veneer laminated on both MDfF and poplar substrates. Significantly less expensive than solid wood, these mouldings also promote environmental responsibility. They are more consistent in color than their solid wood counterparts

Perhaps you do not have the time or inclination to assemble one of our flat pack radiator covers. Then why not consider our fully assembled made to measure range? We offer an extended range of cabinet designs, many more decorative grilles and finishes so you literally have hundreds more options. In addition to our standard paint finishes, you have the option to specify your own paint colour. Real wood veneers including oak, beech pine and mahogany are available. You may also mix a painted finish with a real wood veneered top to your cabinet. There is a greater choice of decorative grilles including wood veneered and real wood grilles, and solid stainless steel and brass designs with either contemporary or more traditional patterns.
There are two levels of service in our Made to Measure range:
i. Premium Service- Made to your measurements
We will make a radiator cabinet to your precise measurements in a design selected from an extensive range of options. The cabinet will be assembled in our workshops and finished to your requirements. It will then be delivered to your home for you to fit. This service is available throughout the UK mainland.
ii. Bespoke service
This is truly a bespoke service – once you have selected your cabinet from our brochure or web site, we will come to your home to measure, show you examples of your preferred options so that you may confirm your final choice and finally we will deliver and install the finished product at a mutually convenient time. This service is currently only available in selected locations and is subject to a minimum quantity or order value. Please ask for details.

We have also launched an exciting range of MDfFcraft blanks for you to personalise. Our decorative mouldings will enable you to personalise your cover so that it is truly unique. Apply them before painting, staining, polishing or varnishing. Each flat pack radiator cover is delivered with full instructions and ” quick tips” for easy self assembly. Information and ideas on achieving your desired paint effect or finish is also included. so really you can’t go wrong! For example,in addition to emulsion, eggshell and gloss paints experiment with different effects such as stencilling, marbling, crackle glaze, ageing, decoupage and trompe l’oeil.
